Monsoon season in Arizona means one thing for backyards: mosquitoes. Those summer storms that cool things down also create standing water everywhere. And standing water means mosquito breeding.
Our technicians provide mosquito control across the Phoenix metro area, from Goodyear to Gilbert. Fogging for immediate knockdown. Residual spraying for lasting protection. Mosquito traps for ongoing population reduction. We tailor the approach to your property and situation.
Arizona mosquitoes aren't just annoying. They carry diseases. West Nile virus is active in Maricopa County every year. Protecting your family means controlling mosquito populations around your home.

Mosquito Species in Arizona
Arizona has over 40 mosquito species. A few cause the most problems for homeowners.
Culex mosquitoes are the primary West Nile virus carriers in our area. They're most active at dawn and dusk. Culex mosquitoes breed in stagnant water like neglected pools, birdbaths, and clogged gutters. These are the mosquitoes that ruin your evening on the patio.
Aedes mosquitoes bite during the day. They're aggressive and persistent. Aedes species can carry Zika, dengue, and chikungunya, though these diseases are rare in Arizona. They breed in small containers like plant saucers, old tires, and kids' toys that hold rainwater.
Psorophora mosquitoes appear after heavy rains. They're large and aggressive biters. These floodwater mosquitoes breed in temporary pools created by monsoon storms. Populations spike about a week after significant rainfall.
All mosquito species need standing water to breed. Eliminating water sources is the foundation of any mosquito control program.
Why Mosquitoes Are a Health Concern
Mosquitoes are more than a nuisance. They're a public health issue. The CDC reports that mosquitoes can spread germs causing West Nile virus, dengue, and other infections.
West Nile virus is the primary concern in Arizona. Most infected people have no symptoms. Some develop fever, headache, and body aches. A small percentage develop serious neurological illness. There's no vaccine and no specific treatment. Prevention means avoiding mosquito bites.
Allergic reactions. Some people react severely to mosquito bites. Swelling, blistering, and intense itching can last for days. Children are especially sensitive.
Pet health. Mosquitoes transmit heartworm to dogs and cats. A single bite from an infected mosquito can cause this serious and potentially fatal disease.
Our Mosquito Treatment Services
We use multiple methods to control mosquitoes because no single approach works alone.
Mosquito Fogging. Fogging provides immediate knockdown of adult mosquitoes. Our technicians use professional-grade equipment to apply a fine mist throughout your yard. Best for events, parties, and outdoor gatherings where you need fast results.
Residual Spraying. We apply residual products to vegetation, fences, and shaded areas where mosquitoes rest during the day. These products continue killing mosquitoes for 3 to 4 weeks after application.
Mosquito Traps. We install and service traps that attract and capture adult mosquitoes continuously. Traps reduce populations over time and provide ongoing protection between spray treatments.
Like our rodent control services, effective mosquito management requires identifying and eliminating the source. Our technicians locate standing water where mosquitoes breed.
Mosquito Control Process
HOW WE WORK
1
Source Identification
Our technicians inspect your property for standing water sources where mosquitoes breed. Birdbaths, clogged gutters, plant saucers, irrigation leaks, and neglected pools can all produce hundreds of mosquitoes weekly.
2
Adult Knockdown
We fog or spray to eliminate adult mosquitoes currently on your property. This provides immediate relief so you can enjoy your outdoor spaces right away.
3
Residual Protection
We apply residual products to vegetation, fences, and shaded resting areas. These treatments continue killing mosquitoes for weeks, providing ongoing protection between service visits.
4
Ongoing Monitoring
Monthly service during mosquito season keeps populations controlled. We check for new breeding sites, maintain traps, and reapply treatments as needed. Consistent service prevents populations from rebuilding.

Protecting Your Outdoor Living Space
Arizona homeowners invest in outdoor living. Patios, pools, outdoor kitchens, fire pits. You want to actually use these spaces without being eaten alive.
Event treatments. Planning a graduation party or backyard wedding? We fog your yard the day before or morning of the event. Your guests can enjoy the outdoors without constant swatting.
Seasonal programs. Monthly treatments throughout mosquito season keep populations low. We spray, maintain traps, and check for new breeding sites each visit.
Custom solutions. Large properties, homes near retention basins, and areas with heavy mosquito pressure may need more intensive treatment. We design programs based on your specific situation.
Reducing Mosquitoes Around Your Property
Professional treatment controls mosquitoes. These steps make treatment more effective:
Dump standing water weekly. Mosquitoes can breed in water that sits for just a few days. Empty plant saucers, pet bowls, buckets, and anything else that collects rainwater.
Clean gutters. Clogged gutters hold water and breed mosquitoes right next to your house. Clean them regularly, especially after monsoon storms.
Maintain your pool. A properly chlorinated and filtered pool doesn't breed mosquitoes. Neglected pools become mosquito factories.
Fix irrigation issues. Leaky valves, overspray, and poor drainage create standing water. Walk your property after irrigation runs and fix wet spots.
Change birdbath water. If you have a birdbath, change the water every few days. Mosquitoes can't complete their breeding cycle if the water doesn't sit long enough.
Don't just take our word for it
Fogging kills mosquitoes present at the time of treatment but doesn't provide lasting residual protection. Effects last 24 to 72 hours depending on weather. For ongoing control, we recommend combining fogging with residual spraying and traps.
Mosquito activity increases in spring and peaks during monsoon season (July through September). Some mosquitoes remain active through October. We recommend starting treatment in March or April before populations build up.
Yes. We use products approved for residential use and apply them according to label directions. We recommend keeping pets and children inside during fogging until the product dries, usually about 30 minutes. Residual sprays dry quickly and pose no risk once dry.
During peak season, monthly treatments provide the best control. Properties near retention basins, washes, or areas with heavy mosquito pressure may benefit from more frequent service. We'll recommend a schedule based on your property's needs.
Mosquitoes can fly in from neighboring properties and untreated areas. New mosquitoes emerge from standing water sources that weren't identified. Treatment reduces populations but doesn't create an invisible barrier. Ongoing service and source reduction provide the best long-term results.
